At St. Mark's, we believe a strong community is built when neighbors care for neighbors. That's why we're grateful not only for the ministries we offer, but also for the many organizations throughout our community that serve others every day. Together, we're stronger than any one of us could be alone.


The resources below are here to help connect you with support when you need it. And if you can't find what you're looking for, please reach out. We may not know every answer, but we'll do our best to help you find one. If we can't meet your need directly, we'll do our best to point you toward someone who can.

  • Shepherds Clothing closet

    We're pleased to share this resource offered by Good Shepherd Baptist Church. Shepherd's Closet is a free clothing ministry serving anyone in need. They offer infant, children's, men's, and women's clothing in a wide variety of sizes, all organized and available at no cost.

    If you or someone you know could benefit from assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. No questions asked—just neighbors helping neighbors. To schedule an appointment with one of their volunteers OR to arrange a donation drop off, please contact Pastor Josh at 515-573-0379.


    Together, we can help ensure that everyone has access to life's basic necessities.

  • St Paul's Shower Ministry

    We're pleased to support this wonderful resource being offered by St. Paul's. Every Sunday from 3:00–4:30 p.m., St. Paul's provides free showers, basic haircuts, food, and a welcoming place for those in need. They regularly serve approximately two dozen unhoused neighbors each week.


    You can help make a difference by donating clean men's or women's clothing (sizes XL and smaller; no dress clothes, please). Raingear, ponchos, lightweight jackets, hats, and caps are also greatly appreciated. If you'd like to support this ministry through a clothing donation, please contact St Paul's church at 319-363-2058 with any questions or to schedule a pickup.

  • Finding Hope Through GriefShare

    We're pleased to share this caring ministry offered by New Covenant Bible Church. GriefShare is a welcoming support group for anyone grieving the loss of a loved one. Through encouraging videos, group discussion, and practical resources, participants find understanding, hope, and support alongside others who are walking a similar journey. You can join at any time, regardless of where you are in your grief journey.

  • Waypoint Domestic Violence Program

    We're pleased to share this resource offered by Waypoint Domestic Violence Victim Services. Waypoint provides free, confidential support for individuals experiencing domestic violence, as well as survivors and their families. Their certified victim advocates offer safety planning, support groups, legal and medical advocacy, counseling, and referrals to help individuals move toward safety and healing.

  • Foundation 2- Crisis Services

    We're pleased to share this caring resource available through Foundation 2 Crisis Services. Life doesn't always go as planned, and it's okay to ask for help. Whether you're experiencing a mental health crisis, grieving, overwhelmed, or simply need someone to talk to, Foundation 2's trained counselors are available 24 hours a day to listen with compassion and care.

  • Neighborhood Transportation Service

    We're pleased to share this valuable resource offered by Neighborhood Transportation Service (NTS). NTS provides affordable door-to-door transportation for older adults and individuals with disabilities throughout the Cedar Rapids area. Whether it's a ride to a medical appointment, the grocery store, the pharmacy, or another essential destination, NTS helps people remain active, independent, and connected to their community.

  • Heritage Area Agency on aging

    We're pleased to share this valuable community resource offered by Heritage Area Agency on Aging. Heritage connects older adults, adults with disabilities, and family caregivers with programs and services that promote independence, health, and quality of life. Whether you need help navigating Medicare, finding transportation, accessing in-home care, caregiver support, nutrition programs, or other local resources, Heritage is here to help.
