We know that visiting a new church can feel intimidating, especially if it's been a while. 

We hope these answers help you feel more comfortable before you arrive.

  • what time is church? 

    Our Sunday worship service begins at 9:30 a.m. We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early if it's your first visit so you have time to find your way around and meet a few friendly faces.

  • What should I wear?

    Whatever makes you comfortable. You'll see people in everything from shorts and jeans to dresses and suits. There is no dress code- just wear something! Come as you are. We are simply happy you are here! 

  • What is your service like?

    Our worship blends prayer, Scripture, music, and a message centered on God's love and grace. Services typically last about one hour.

  • Can I receive communion? 

    Yes. At St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Communion is open to everyone. You do not need to be a member of our church or denomination to participate.

  • Are children welcome?

    Absolutely! Children are an important part of our church family and are always welcome in worship. If needed or desired, we also have a Family Lounge where you can continue watching the service through a live video stream while caring for your child.

  • Is your building accessible?

    Our building is wheelchair accessible, and accessible parking is available near the entrances. If you need assistance when you arrive, just let one of our greeters know—we'll be happy to help.

  • Do I have to give an offering?

    Please don't feel any obligation to give. Your presence is truly the greatest gift.

  • Is there Sunday School or Bible studies?

    Yes! We offer opportunities for people of all ages to grow in their faith throughout the year. Visit our Ministries page or contact the church office to learn what's currently available.

  • How can I get involved?

    There are many ways to become part of the St. Mark's family! Whether you're interested in volunteering, joining a Bible study, participating in music ministry, serving through our Food Pantry, or helping with community events, we'd love to help you find a place to connect.

  • Is there coffee before/after worship? 

    Yes! We offer fellowship after each service with coffee/refreshments and light snacks! Please stay and join us so we can get to know each other.
