Sunday School

Please Note: Sunday School is currently on summer break. We look forward to welcoming our children back this fall!

At St. Mark's, we believe every child is a gift from God. Our Sunday School is a place where children can laugh, learn, ask questions, make friends, and discover just how much God loves them. Through Bible stories, hands-on activities, music, games,  meaningful conversations, and prayer  we help children explore the core truths of our faith in a fun, engaging, and welcoming environment.

We know that faith grows one step at a time. Our hope is that every child leaves knowing they are loved by God, valued for who they are, and never alone. As they grow, we encourage them to build a strong foundation rooted in God's love, grace, and promises—one that will guide them throughout their lives.

Whether your family has been attending church for years or you're visiting for the very first time, you'll always find a warm welcome at St. Mark's. We consider it a privilege to partner with parents and caregivers as children grow in faith, build lasting friendships, and discover the joy of being part of God's family.

We can't wait to welcome your family this fall!

Sunday School Teachers Wanted

Have you ever thought about helping with Sunday School but worried you wouldn't know where to start? The good news is, you don't have to figure it out by yourself!

Our Children's Ministry team works together every step of the way. Lessons are planned in advance, materials are provided, and there's always someone nearby to answer questions, offer encouragement, or jump in when you need an extra hand. We believe serving should be joyful, not stressful, and we're here to support one another.

Whether once a month or every Sunday, there's a place for you. You don't need to be a teacher by profession or have all the answers. What matters most is a willing heart and a desire to help children discover God's love in a fun, safe, and welcoming environment.

Sunday School resumes  August through Thanksgiving, and we'd love to have you be part of this important ministry. Time spent with children today can help plant seeds of faith that continue to grow for years to come.

If you'd like to learn more or are interested in joining our team, we'd love to talk with you. Contact Deidra Benser at deidra@stmarksumccr.com.

Come serve alongside us. Together, we can help the next generation know they are deeply loved by God.

Summer camp

Each summer we encourage as many children as possible to participate in one of the summer camps offered by the United Methodist church at one of our four campsites. We offer financial assistance to those in need and transportation to and from camp if needed. https://www.iaumc.org/camps/#iac
