  • Pianist

    Provide piano prelude, offertory, postlude, and accompaniment for traditional hymns during our 9:30 a.m.Sunday worship services as well as choir practices and performances when the choir resumes. Accompaniment for potential special services would include Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Christmas Eve. Additional practices for soloists or groups for special music would be arranged as convenience allows.

    Job Type: Part-time

    Pay: $400.00 - $500.00 per month

  • Admin Assistant/Social Media Coordinator

    Responsibilities:

    Demonstrate a mature and growing faith; participate in the life of the church

    Maintain a strict code of confidentiality in all relationships and work of the church

    Exhibit a caring and professional manner in all contacts with the congregation and the community

    Be supportive of the staff and work of St. Mark’s in all contacts with the congregation and community

    Organize, recruit, train and direct volunteers in the work of Administration and Social Media ministry

    Serve as the church’s contact for groups using the church such as Encore Café, WIC, Al-Anon, NA, etc…

    Manage administration and social media communication for the church which includes all social media publications, web site updates and development, office management, volunteer coordination, and other administrative and social media tasks for the Church, pastor, other staff members, and laity.

    Experience: Ideal candidate would have a minimum 1 year experience working as an Administrative Assistant with a background in Social Media with a preference in a church or other ministry setting

    Education: Ideal candidate would have taken classes, courses, or workshops specific to the skills needed for an Administrative Assistant and a Social Media Manager.


    Job Type: Full-time


    Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

  • Children's ministry director

    Director of Children's Ministry Responsibilities:

    To nurture a deepening faith in Jesus Christ as a leader within the church of Jesus Christ.

    To fully participate in the life of St. Mark’s UMC.

    To participate in shaping, expanding, and responding to a God-sized vision for reaching out to and welcoming our multi-cultural neighborhood through ministry with children and their families in both the church and the community.

    To take the lead in participating with other staff persons and church leaders in developing, encouraging and directing programming, ministries, and educational curriculum -

    • For children, to include but not limited to, Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, weekly gatherings, and summer camp for children.
    • Regular communication with families of children regarding spiritual growth and activities for their children.
    • To develop a ministry calendar and provide regular communication pieces for weekly and monthly publications.
    • To direct the maintenance of records for children and their families involved in ministries of the church.
    • To build relationships through participation in school, family, and community activities of children and their families as much as possible.
    • To take the lead in recruiting, equipping, and directing teams of laity participating in ministries with children and their families.
    • To prayerfully consider ministry partnerships and participation with area churches and organizations.

    Job Type: Part-time

    Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
